Spirulina is made from processed seaweed. It's regarded as a superfood, popular in shakes and other items for human consumption.
Now, the spirulina we sell we don't process with humans in mind, but it's great for isopods! Very high in protein and beta carotenes, the isopods love it (springtails, too!). Spirulina is particularly great for deepening yellow or orange color in isopods because of the beta-carotene component.
