A relatively new species of Porcellio; "Tunisia" reach an impressive size of 20mm. There is some sexual dimorphism in larger uropods, but it is not as dramatic as the giant Porcellio sp. The backs of "Tunisia" are a mottled, almost calico color and looks like light gently filtered through leaves. Young isopods may be a creamy yellow color; some of the lightness is retained to adulthood, but most deepen to a dark grey.
Like other Porcellio, "Tunisia" benefit from a hefty protein source, and have a ravenous appetite for leaf litter. They enjoy having a large moist area to burrow in and breed.
