Live oak is a species of tree native to the Southern US. They aren't as firm as magnolia leaves, but are firmer in comparison to maple.
Live oak are popular in use for terrariums due to their attractive look, and in aquascaping for both asthetics and hides. Invertebrates love to munch them, and reptiles love to hide in them.
Leaf litter is a must have in any naturalistic environment, and you can't go wrong with live oak.
