Cristarmadillidium muricatum
Someone once pointed out to me that C. muricatum look like macaroons and I will never be able to unsee it. Their beige exterior and cute little spines really do look like a freshly baked macaroon.
Anyway, despite being from Spain, these little guys like to be fairly moist and don't need a lot of airflow. They breed at a moderate speed, not as fast as some dwarves but certainly faster than giants and don't seem affected by seasons.
They are very shy, rarely venturing above the leaf layer and rarely uncurling. I have stared at these for...a while and have yet to see one uncurl in front of me. It's all good though, because their spines are super cute.
