Armadillidium vulgare "Japanese magic potion"
The "magic potion" mutation is the expression of the dalmatian gene in vulgare. Since the gene affects the dark pigments, the natural yellow spotting remains creating a very unique appearance.
The Japanese line, in contrast to the American line, is more prolific and slightly smaller.
Vulgare do well in temperate and semi-arid environments. They are not recommended for tropical due to issues molting in high humidity. They enjoy eating many soft bodied plants.
