Product Details

This culture was officially identified as A. scaberrimum rather than the incorrect A. omblae and is a robust, attractive isopod. The backs of the animals are textured with spiny lumps and range from a pleasant beige to a cool grey color.

They should be offered a hefty calcium source, and a humidity gradient. They produce large, although infrequent broods.

Sandstone isopods do well in temperate to semi-arid environments. They may have issues molting in tropical environments, and like to eat soft bodied plants.
