The original mutation as found in nature. stock has been bred in captivity for several generations. They are also called the "nosy roly poly" due to the little bill or "nose" protruding on the front of their head. Nasatum are "roly-polys" meaning they roll into a ball.
Nasatum do well in temperate to semi-arid environments. They may have issues molting in tropical environments, and like to eat soft bodied plants.
