Armadillidium klugii "orange clown"
A. klugii, also called the "clown isopod" is a beautiful example of the natural color range of isopods. This strain of klugii is a mutation isolated out of the "Montenegro" locale of A. klugii. They exhibit no dark pigment, and display a vibrant orange color. While they do look similar to A. werneri "orange", they only have 3 rows of spots, not 5, demonstrating them to be A. klugii.
Klugii do well in temperate to semi-arid environments. They may have issues molting in tropical environments, and like to eat soft bodied plants.
